Harvard Law School to Launch Junior Deferral Pilot in 2014
Harvard Law Schoolââ¬â¢s new Junior Deferral Pilot will launch next year (in 2014) with the Harvard College class of 2015. These juniors will be able to apply to the law school for a deferred admission period of two years. After two years of accumulating work experience, theyââ¬â¢ll then enter Harvard Law. (The class of 2015 will enter law school in the fall of 2017.) This deferral program is similar to Harvard Business Schoolââ¬â¢s 2+2 Program. Clearly the latter is a success. Pursuing rich work and life experiences and building wide networks is encouraged (actually, required) over the two-year deferral period. There is an option to expand this period. Applicants to the program must submit an academic transcript, LSAT scores, letters of recommendation, and a personal statement. In-person interviews on the Harvard Law campus will be conducted.
